About Me
I have a deep respect for Mother Nature and all the gifts around us. I like to work with people through transitions, as they enter motherhood or as they deal with a scary illness or as they’re developing a project and need help gathering input from the community.
I have a master’s degree in public health, but am most proud of my herbalism training, with teachers like Venice Williams, Susun Weed, jim mcdonald, and others that I was introduced to through the Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference. WOW - I am grateful! I was also formally trained & certified as a birth doula, and have degrees in biology & women’s studies.
Smudging - a spiritual and healing practice

Projects & Services
In addition to herbalism, QOYA Inspired Movement and postpartum doula work, I am proud to offer the following but need YOU as a partner:
Neighborhood Health
Hood Health is in the beginning stages of bringing neighbors together to create an alternate health system. When we get to know each other, we decrease social isolation and understand the assets that can support our health in our own neighborhoods. I am ANGRY about the cost of our ‘health’ care, the exclusions, the manipulations, and the general model. Do you see the need for change too? Let’s co imagine a better way together.
Story Gathering, Qualitative Methods & Facilitation
I’ve been an evaluator and facilitator for about 15 years. Contact me if you need help conceptualizing data collection or want help collecting data and stories through focus groups, interviews, community conversations, etc. to advance work that advances us as a community and society. Listening and honoring meaning of people’s experiences is important to any project’s development.
