Postpartum Doula Services

Taking care of people who take care of people.

If you are a soon-to-be mother to a new child, you are the definition of someone who takes care of others. You deserve services that are in-depth, consistent and frequent to support you in having the most successful postpartum period possible.

I am passionate about being there for mothers in the transition phase of being home with your newborn. This does not only apply to those first few weeks. You might find yourself wanting support when your baby is 4-6 months old, or older.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to be there for you and offer herbal support. I will make you nourishing tea while giving you a break so that you can rest or do what you want and/or need to do. The strategy is to give attention and pampering to mama’s nourishment and wellbeing, so that your priority needs are validated and nurtured.

Support provided to mom & family

  • Prenatal visit(s) to start to define the desired support  [or if hiring after baby is born, a proposed plan based on your intake questionnaire]

  • In-home care, frequently and consistently to reduce stress and increase wellbeing

  • Presence and listening to define customized support each day of service

  • For when you need someone skilled to care for baby so you can rest without worrying, for example

  • For when you need an extra set of listening ears to feel validated, and supported, and to help problem solve any issues

  • Support your postpartum nourishment by making and serving nourishing tea

  • Creating any rituals & pampering for you – for example, honoring the transition you went through by giving birth and now more fully being a mother

  • Herbal medicine consultations to support health & nutrition of family

  • Household support to relieve family stress and increase wellbeing – strategic cleaning, errands, etc.

  • Transition planning for months 4+

  • Consideration for dad/ partner who did not give birth– emailed resources, tips, encouragement

The way I do my work

  • How is my time best spent in support of you today?

  • What to expect every day:

    • Check-in

    • Unique support based on needs of the day

    • Feeling supported & accepted regardless of how you choose to feed your baby, etc.

    • You can be yourself – FOR EXAMPLE - You do not need to clean or shower before I come
