dandelion poem

[written in spring 2023 @ alice’s garden urban farm in milwaukee, wi]

Dandelion and apple mint

Dandelion flower

If i were a fairy i’d sleep on

your soft welcoming yellow bed

As a human i smell your

faint daintily sweet delight

But bashful you are not

You claim

You proclaim, I am here

I can help

Do you see

The long winter is over

Use my medicine freely
